My granddaughter, Ashlyn, brought the movie with her when she came to spend the night last night. She also hooked up the DVD Player, as I didn't have a clue how to do it! We watched the movie together and were both moved by the story of a young girl with such courage and wisdom at such a young age. What an inspiration this girl's life is to all of us.
There was a lot to like about this movie. It presented a lovely family, but didn't sugar coat the difficulty of dealing with a serious injury such as that portrayed in the movie. It was a life changing event for everyone in the family, not just the teenaged daughter.
If you are already afraid of water or sharks, this may not be the movie for you, however, as it is pretty graphic. But, if you want to experience a movie that has courage, joy, heart and inspiration at it's core...this one's for you! It is a great movie for the entire family.
Ashlyn and I watched it twice!
