Yoder's Restaurant - Mennonite Delight

We are taking a drive today through the farmlands and Pecan Groves of Middle Georgia to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our destination is Yoder's Restaurant, a very quaint and peaceful delight in the middle of an abundance of produce and dairy farms.
The ride through the countryside is pleasant and beautiful and a perfect prelude to the down home country food you will have at Yoder's cafeteria style restaurant.

My friend loves the beef, which is cooked to perfect tenderness and has great flavor. There are great vegetables, fresh from local farms, and delicious fried chicken. For those who prefer lighter fare, there is usually a broiled fish and plenty of salad.

One of the best things, however, is the home made Peanut Butter Pie! In the middle of peanut country you just can't miss this. But, if you are not a fan of peanut butter, there are plenty of other baked delights to choose from. I am usually too full after my meal to enjoy dessert, but there is a solution to that problem too.

Yoder's has a Gift Shop and Bakery! Yummo! So you can take some of the home baked goodies home with you. So, if you want to get away from the "bustling crowds" and enjoy the peaceful contryside of Middle Georgia, check out Yoder's.

Yoder's is closed on Sunday and Monday and occasionally for a wedding or special occasion, so you might want to give them a call before heading out. 478-472-2024.
