When We Celebrate

Merry Christmas!  Oh, I realize that Christ was not born on December 25th, but that is the day we have chosen to celebrate his birth.  I am also sure there were no shiny glass balls and tinsel involved, but instead a sky full of stars, one of which was more brilliant than all the others - signaling the birth of the Savior.

I hope that everyone celebrating Christmas this year will remember that it isn't about the presents or the money spent.  Even if you do not have a personal relationship with Christ, Christmas is about love, giving and sharing.  It is about appreciating all the best things in life.  It is about children, laughter and families sharing and making beautiful memories.

While you are baking cookies, buying and wrapping presents and preparing for the special holiday, remember to be thankful for all the small things in life, enjoy the Christmas carols and SHARE something with someone less fortunate than you.  Even if it is just to put a quarter in the red bucket of the Salvation Army, please share.

Watch "It's A Wonderful Life", "A Christmas Carol" or "The Christmas Story" and relish the kinder gentler time of year.

Merry Christmas!!!
