Nightlife in Bangkok

This is the address we want to go to!  Indigo Restaurant please.
Where is that?  Let me see address in Thai.

There is a definite energy in the City of Bangkok and it is even more alive and evident at night.  Hundreds and hundreds of street vendors appear selling everything from wonderful street foods to underwear!

But, after a long day of touring, we were ready for dinner at a nice restaurant.
We went first to the top of a hotel which had a bar and restaurant on the very top...all outside, no cover.  I don't know what they do when it rains..guess they just close! This is the highest  bar site in all of Bangkok.  It is called the Moon Bar and the restaurant attached to it is called Vertigo!  It is definitely Way Up In The Sky!
Dizzying view, cool breeze and worth seeing.
The view was incredible, but the drinks were watered down and we were soon on our way to our next destination, Indigo.  It is a very authentically French Restaurant off a small alleyway in Bangkok.  It took our driver a little while to find it but it was worth the search!

We had a lovely dinner beginning with an assortment of delicious cheeses and wine.  Each of us ordered different entree's as we like to "share" and taste all the delicious offerings we can.  The service was wonderful as was the food.  Then there was the Creme Brulee!  Oh my, it has been a long time since I had a Creme Brulee with the quality of candied sugar and warmth that this one had!  It was worth cheating on my diet for that one!

After our delicious meal and a brief shopping encounter in a tiny art boutique across the street from Indigo, we all - yep all four of us - piled into a Tuk Tuk for a speedy ride around Bangkok!  Whew, scary but fun!  We looked like one of those crazy college groups who were trying to see how many people you could fit into a volkswagon!

But, it wasn't long before our driver delivered us safely (after several stops trying to figure out where the new W Bangkok was - as it had only been open three days and all the drivers didn't know where it was!)  back to the hotel.  Melanie and I had another half day of touring scheduled for the morning, so we needed to turn in.  The boys, however, had a night on the town, and I understand there is quite a lot to do out on the town in Bangkok!
Once again, Thanks Charles..for a great evening!  Great Food, Great Company and just lots and lots of great fun and memories!

God Bless - Peace, Love and Joy!
