Back on Okaloosa Island this morning and the storms have the surf worked up pretty good.  It is supposed to clear off and be sunny this afternoon, but I just love the many moods of the sea!

We were up early as usual here...I love to see the sunrise...and it actually was sunny before the storms rolled ashore.  Lovely.  I like watching the sea birds and dolphins....There is a cool breeze on the patio this morning blowing off the water.  The sound of the surf is magnificent today because of the increased size of the waves.  There is just nothing as peaceful as that sound....continuous, powerful....amazing.

Went to breakfast this morning at Harbor Docks...they have a beautiful view of the Harbor at Destin and the food was not only delicious but very reasonably priced!  Wow!  In a tourist town, how do you beat that?  Yesterday's lunch at Mulhollows Bistro 215 was also fabulous.  We had one of their barbecued chicken wraps, and I had some cream of broccoli soup (not that sticky nasty stuff some places serve!) and it was great!  Of course, the warm chocolate chip cookies which follow always cap it off!  Thanks Dan and Tracy...we love you!  Gonna come by again before we leave the Island.  We want some more of that GREAT salad dressing you make....unbeatable!

I can't wait until we can be here on the Island full time.  Thee is just something about this little barrier island on the Gulf that makes all the troubles of the world disappear.  I become younger every tie I come here and sit on the beach or the patio.  I don't think about politics, I don't worry about anything (except my next meal, LOL) and I sleep like a baby.

Kevin is sitting on the patio chip carving this morning.  Buddy the dog is sleeping, as usual, and all is right with the world!  The water is crystal clear this morning and it's beautiful emerald shimmer is like a huge jewel .... inviting, mesmerizing and fascinating.

A Recipe for Today....

Sounds like fruit salad would be a good idea:

1/2 cup chopped dark (pitted) cherries
1 cup chopped strawberries
1 cup seedless red grapes, halved
1 cup seedless green grapes, halved
1 cup cantalope or honeydew melon cut in small pieces
1 cup fresh blueberries

In small bowl mix 3 TBSP Lime juice (fresh if you have it)...(can use lemon instead if you prefer)
3 TBSP Honey
2 TBSP Truvia

Mix into chopped fruit and let rest for at least an hour before serving...Yum!!

Healthy and delicious as breakfast with some Greek Yogurt, or make a dessert parfait using Greek Yogurt, fruit and granola!  WOW

God Bless - Peace, Love and Joy!!!
