Tropical Flava...Food With Flair

There aren't a lot of restaurants which I would rave about south of Atlanta, but Tropical Flava is one!

James, owner and chef, has done a terrific job recreating the atmosphere of the tropical islands, and the food is out of this world! James is a master of spices and they are not overwhelming, but subtle and palate tickling to say the least.

Tonight I had the escovitched fish (tilapia tonight, but sometimes yellowtail snapper) which is artfully prepared and the best you will find anywhere. It is fresh, flaky and incredibly tasty.

James is good in the baking area too. His Mango Cheesecake will make you beg for more. It is a staple on the menu.

My friend had Oxtails and jerk ribs and raved about how delicious they are. If you come in once, you will return. James has a jerk sauce that should be bottled and sold at retail...it is incredible.

If you enjoy Caribbean Foods, you must check out TROPICAL FLAVA, on Houston Road just as it intersects Hawkinsville Road in Macon. Don't miss it.
