A Place of Peace and Relaxation

I love everything about Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island just in case I haven't said that before.  The gorgeous Emerald green, crystal clear water, the dolphins, the sugar sand, the breezes off the gulf that cool my balcony.  I love the starry nights and the sunny days.  But, even more, I love the PEOPLE I have met here.

People who are fortunate enough to live here seem to have a peaceful, laid back attitude toward life.  It is quite a change from anywhere I have lived in the past.  Even though across the Bay there is the fast-paced tourist town of Destin, Fort Walton seems to maintain a more balanced and quiet lifestyle just right for you if you are looking to enjoy a really relaxing vacation or escape from reality!

Chef Dan and Tracy from Mulhollows Bistro are two of the people we have met and are excited to know.  They have a great little Bistro at 215 hwy 98 (Miracle Strip Parkway) and it's eclectic casual atmosphere is inviting enough, but the food is off the charts delicious.  If you are in town you must, must, must try them.  Lunch or Dinner they always have specials....be sure to ask about them. Their corn/crab chowder....well, it's a dreamy concoction!

If you need a Realtor, Call Mary Ann Miller of ReMax Southern Realty...she is efficient, professional, fun and a ball of energy!  She knows her business and will find you the best property at the best price!

One of our new neighbors in the Island Echos condominiums has a wonderful, friendly little Yorkie (I call her Porkie Yorkie - she is extremely chubby!!) and we are sharing stories about being new owners.  We meet each other on occasion at the dog walking area....even that is appointed nicely here.

Tomorrow we will head home again, and my heart will remain here in Okaloosa...here on the Island of paradise with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets...I will be back soon.  I can not stay away long!
