Celebrating Life

I just had three full days to spend with granddaughter Ashlyn.  We had great fun doing homework, memorizing "Stopping By The Woods On a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost, and making Arroz con Coco for presentation to her class today when she gives her report on Puerto Rico.  She is such a joy and I love spending time with her.

It has been one of those days when I just feel like I need to say how important it is  just to celebrate life.  Oh, I'm not saying it is a smooth road all the time, but we need to learn to take the good days and celebrate them and let them outweigh all the rough days in between.

I got a piece of particularly good news this morning when I checked my Facebook page and found that a little two-year-old girl who fell yesterday and fractured her skull and had been in ICU yesterday afternoon facing surgery, actually went home from the hospital today!  So many of us had been praying for her complete recovery with Faith in an Awesome God who can do all things and here was the miracle we had all been praying for.  Sometimes, we pray without believing, but this time I think all of those praying put their faith in it and WOW!  A little girl will go home to her Mommy, Daddy and brothers today.  Hallelujah!  What a celebration they will have today.

Another friend just had a brand new bouncing baby boy early this morning.  He is perfect and they are overjoyed.  He will join twin brothers and a sister in a home where he will be raised to believe in that same Awesome God that healed the little girl who fell yesterday.  Celebrate, they will ...

But, we need to celebrate each day for what it brings.  If we can get up and walk, if we can hear, if we are loved, if we know how to love...these are all things to celebrate.  We live in a troubled world, but there is still good out there, and if we just look around a little we will find it.  I am celebrating life today.  I am celebrating the entire cycle of life and all the miracles which happen along the way.  Sometimes we get bogged down in the political issues, wars and rumors of wars, and difficulties which we are handed in life.  We let those things outweigh the beautiful things in the world around us and the miracle of life that surrounds us every day.

Take time to celebrate life every day! Take time to remember what a miracle it is when a baby is born, when a child survives a serious accident, when the ocean rushes to the shore day after day.

God Bless....Peace, Love and JOY to you today!
